Norglass Northane Satin Clear Pack is a 2-pack, food-grade, non-yellowing polyurethane offering exceptional chemical and abrasion resistance. Water-clear when cured, it provides excellent gloss retention under extreme weather conditions. Perfect for timber benchtops, furniture, boats, indoor timber flooring, and bathroom & kitchen cabinetry, it creates a durable waterproof finish over other 2-pack products.

Preparation
  • Apply over sound surfaces only; remove cracked or flaking varnish.
  • Degrease and lightly sand old Northane surfaces before recoating.
  • Clean all surfaces to remove wax, polish, and oil residues using Norclean.
  • Consult technical advisory for removal of silicone-based polishes.
Application
  • Mix 2 parts base with 1 part hardener and allow to stand 10 minutes.
  • Add appropriate thinner for brush or spray and strain if necessary.
  • Spraying: Add up to 33% spraying thinner at 50–70 PSI; use 1.4 mm nozzle.
  • Brush/Roller: Add up to 3% brushing thinner in hot conditions; apply with minimum strokes.
  • Apply multiple thin coats as required for UV resistance; allow 48 hours to cure before handling.
Precautions
  • Provide adequate ventilation; avoid breathing fumes.
  • Wear protective gloves, goggles, and clothing.
  • Do not spray mist into breathing zone; use air-fed face mask when spraying.
  • Do not use if sensitive to isocyanates.
  • Keep away from naked flames; do not smoke.
First Aid
  • If poisoning occurs, call doctor or Poisons Information Centre (AUS: 13 11 26 / NZ: 0800 764 766).
  • If swallowed: DO NOT induce vomiting; give water or milk.
  • Eye contact: flush with water for at least 15 minutes; consult doctor.
  • Skin contact: remove contaminated clothing; wash thoroughly.
  • Breathing difficulty: move to fresh air; apply artificial respiration if necessary.
Special Instructions
  • Do not apply below 10°C or when relative humidity exceeds 75%.
  • Allow 72 hours before immersion if used in areas of constant water exposure.
  • Multiple coats recommended for UV exposure (6–8 coats suggested).
