The L & R Boat Latch Kit offers an innovative solution for launching and retrieving your aluminium boat quickly and easily whether it’s in the lake, river, ocean, or wherever else you might fancy. Designed by boaties (and engineers) for boaties, and made from durable marine grade 316 stainless steel that requires no strings, wires or electronics, the latch kit has been on-the-water tested by serious boat users for over 15 years.
With the L & R Boat Latch you’ll launch and retrieve with such ease that you’ll be the envy of everyone down at the ramp – and you’ll stay dry doing it. Even better, you can launch and retrieve your boat on your own, meaning you can use it more often and more easily every time.
The Boat Latch Kit comes with:
- Latch with a lever to launch or retrieve made from marine grade (316) stainless steel and with a tensile strength equal to 5.4 tonnes

With two options – the standard and heavy options – the L & R Boat Latch Kit is designed to be a robust system that can handle almost any boat.

Engineered from 316 stainless steel, our latch is free from welded weak points—delivering superior strength and reliability. All testing has been independently verified by the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA), ensuring the highest standards of performance and safety.
The L & R Boat Latch is not intended for road travel, only for use on the boat ramp. On the road your boat should be tensioned up with the winch and tie downs used to keep it in place. Always detach the winch and the safety chain to launch and re-attach before you leave the ramp at the water’s edge.

Wasn't an out the box fit had to do some alterations to boat attachment wouldn't have needed to if the older aluminum boat design was the same, but in the end it works as it should.

Had to grind of some of the Stainless steel pipe on each end so it fit snug up against the aluminum, feel good and strong. Haven't lauched yet but expect good things!

I was impressed with the You Tube demo of the latch, and after looking at dealers here (Qld) I decided to go with Bluebottle. I rang and talked to the man himself about the product and he was very helpful. Product ordered and delivered in couple of days. Everything is quality made, now just have to fit it to the rig. Good product, good supplier. Happy to recommend them.
