Description
Pilot Ladder
The Pilot Ladder is a crucial piece of safety equipment used by pilots when boarding or disembarking vessels and in emergency situations. Constructed to meet SOLAS 1974 (as amended) standards, the ladder features durable hardwood steps (except the lowest four rubber-reinforced steps), spaced at optimal intervals for safe access. Each ladder is supplied with a test certificate and includes rope strops extending 3 metres above the top step for secure mounting.
- Used by pilots to board or leave vessels, or in emergencies
- Step spacing: 330 ± 20mm
- Hardwood steps for strength and durability (excluding bottom four)
- Bottom four steps are rubber with steel lining for added safety
- Rope strops with thimble and shackle extend 3m above top step
- Length measured between steps
- Complies with SOLAS 1974, as amended, A.1045(27)
- Supplied with a test certificate
