The Shimano Descent range of slow pitch jig rods features unique, thin-profile blanks made from solid 724 carbon. This solid, one-piece construction offers unparalleled strength, durability and sheer lifting power, along with the ideal flex and recovery actions needed for seductively working slow pitch jigs, octa jigs and even big soft plastics on heavy jig heads. Fitted with ultra-light, solid but sleek custom carbon reel seats and hard-wearing Seaguide SS316 guides throughout, these rods were built to take the rigorous punishment dished out by serious anglers going toe-to-fin with serious fish from snapper, emperor and coral trout to kings, amberjack, cobia, mackerel and more.
