UV Protection
The strong UPF 50+ UV resistance of our covers ensures long-lasting colourfastness, effectively shielding your boat’s surfaces from the sun’s harmful UV rays. This high level of UV protection not only preserves the vibrant colours of your boat’s finish but also prevents the gradual deterioration and fading caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight. By maintaining the integrity of your boat’s appearance, our covers help extend the lifespan of its exterior, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and costly repainting. With our UPF 50+ rated covers, you can confidently enjoy your time on the water, knowing your boat is well-protected against the harsh effects of the sun.
Durability
Oceansouth’s semi-custom Day Cruisier Runabout (with Outboard) Covers are renowned for their exceptional durability, making them an ideal choice for protecting your boat. The ATLAS fabric is not only resistant to abrasions and tears but also offers superior protection against UV rays, saltwater and pollutants. Additionally, the fabric’s robust construction prevents stretching and sagging, maintaining a secure and snug fit over time.
Water Resistance and Breathability
The Day Cruisier Runabout (with Outboard) Covers are designed with advanced water resistance to prevent moisture from penetrating and keep your boat dry and protected from the elements. Made from ATLAS fabric, these covers also offer excellent breathability, allowing moisture and condensation to escape. This effective combination of water resistance and breathability ensures that your boat remains in optimal condition, even when exposed to rain, saltwater or high humidity.
Easy Maintenance
Oceansouth Day Cruisier Runabout (with Outboard) Covers are designed with a dirt-repellent feature that makes cleaning effortless. Simply use mild soap and warm water to maintain the cover’s appearance. Keeping the cover dirt-free ensures it retains its usability and remains ready for quick deployment whenever needed, providing both convenience and effective protection for your boat.
Important – Please Note
If trailering with the cover on the boat at speeds greater than 60kph, ensure the tie-downs are secure and taut, but avoid overtightening as this can lead to tearing when traveling at high speeds. Visually inspect the cover and tie-downs at regular intervals during your journey. At speeds greater than 60kph we highly recommend using two light ratchet straps (not included) tightened over the bow and secured to either side of the trailer to help reduce forward wind pressure on the cover and tie-downs.
We also recommend placing a soft barrier, such as foam underlay or pool noodles over any protruding items on the boat that will come into direct contact with the cover’s fabric and potentially wear through over time—such as rod holders and rocket launchers. This simple step will help extend the cover’s lifespan, ensuring many years of reliable use.

Watch our video on how to measure your boat –
1. Measure the Overall Fabric Length
Using a tape measure, take the following measurements on your boat making sure you measure from 15-30cm below the point of the bow of the boat (assume this is where the hem of the cover will be) all the way back to 15-30cm below the stern, ensuring the tape measure goes over the windscreen.
If you have a Bimini, ensure this is folded down and resting on the gunwales and that when you measure from bow to stern the tape measure goes over the folded-down Bimini.
If you have a permanent Bimini or other similar structure mounted on your boat, this style of cover will not be suitable for your boat. Please look at the Jumbo or Pilot / Cruiser style semi-custom covers.
1. Measure the Overall Fabric Width
Using a tape measure, take a measurement 15-30cm below the widest part of your boat on the Port side gunnel and across to 15-30cm below the opposite Starboard gunnel ensuring that the measurement goes over the highest part of the boat, ie, windscreen.
Once you have these 2 overall measurements refer to the below table showing the overall cover dimensions for each size of cover offered and match up to arrive at the best fit for your boat.
