Note: 8 Strand braided nylon rope will stiffen over time when used in saltwater. For pre-installation and seasonal maintenance, we recommend soaking the rope in a bucket of fresh water and fabric softener overnight. This will help condition new rope and will help clean older rope of salt and debris, increasing longevity and minimising hardening.
